Allowing Comments at Google News
Published by Jun | Filed under Google
New Google News Feature Feels “Web 1.0″ - where it allows its participant to comment and be involve on its news stories post by dissenting or concurring view points right next to the published news items. Here is a sample of comments to a Google News story.
From the Google News Blog:
“We’ll be trying out a mechanism for publishing comments from a special subset of readers: those people or organizations who were actual participants in the story in question. Our long-term vision is that any participant will be able to send in their comments, and we’ll show them next to the articles about the story. Comments will be published in full, without any edits, but marked as “comments” so readers know it’s the individual’s perspective, rather than part of a journalist’s report.”
This is a nice development that will give the the readers perspective and the community or the people involve in the news will get the chance to published their point of view - to defend themselves if the news is against them.
Hope that Google news will not be cluttered with spams and unrelated posts like whats we are seeing in most of blog comment spams.
